Below are a few email marketing case studies with real testimonials and results that I’ve strategized and written for past clients in launch and evergreen sales campaigns.

These case studies give you a glimpse into what I can share from work done for past, and present, clients. In addition to writing for monetary results, I focus on capturing the voice of my clients and creating a marketing strategy that feels good to them.

Disclaimer!!!: I can’t promise specific results, every client I have has their own level of privileges and support in their business, different levels of existing funnels and marketing budgets, and are in different spots growing their business, all of which impact results. Elaine: Business and Career Coach

Before: Elaine was growing her email list, but noticed that her open rate and engagement were low. She hired me to do a marketing review of all her platforms and I recommended some work I could do within her email marketing platform to increase deliverability and results. Elaine had shared that she wanted to focus less on social media in her business, so we really focused on email, plus podcasting, SEO, and boosting word-of-mouth marketing. Before our work together, she was sending out emails every so often to an email list that was a bit old, highlighted by an 8% average open rate and less than a .05% click-through rate, following well below the industry average. Elaine’s marketing and voice was strong, so I knew we could improve the email results.

Now: I’ve been working with Elaine for around a year and a half and the strength of her email list is a complete 180 from before. Her average email open rate is above 40%, with some of her latest emails reaching over 50%. Her click-through rate has increased to 1.5-3%. Anna: Marketer with Coaching and Courses

Before: Anna’s business had built out funnels and an evergreen course that was selling well. But, she knew it had the potential to help more women build their own businesses and create the passive income she craved to spend more time with her growing family. She felt that the copy for her sales pages and emails were okay, but needed finessing and sales best practices to really convert.

After: I worked with Anna for a year to create her email sequences and tweak her emails and sales page as we learned more about her audience. After she said, “We have a clear understanding of who our different audiences are and what types of content resonate with them more than others.”

Laura: Health Practitioner online and in-person

Before: Laura’s business had pivoted because of the pandemic. She had already started filling the in-person visit gap by meeting with patients virtually when she realized she wanted to grow that model for her time and her business. We started working together in June 2020 and rehauled her marketing strategy. She was already getting impressive search traffic results and organic traffic to blogs and three quizzes on her site. We pinpointed where we could optimize email marketing and rewrote her homepage copy. When we started, the pages in her top ten visited pages were all blogs with high exit rates. We added a call-to-action for those blogs and created three email automations to capture this high traffic and convert them to 1:1 patients.

After: A month after our work was done, Laura contacted me because these email sequences were working so well that she was booked up with 1:1 patients. Now, we’re tweaking those sequences to convert even better and prime her audience for new group programs she’s creating to scale her business and free up some of her time with less 1:1 work.

Victoria: Certified health practitioner, life coach, and podcaster

Before: Victoria’s life coaching practice was going well. She was about to launch a high-ticket group program and wanted some marketing guidance for the launch. We knew this launch would be more reliant on her existing audience than cold leads, so we worked on her website copy and created a launch email sequence for the 2 weeks her enrollment would be open. 

After: Victoria sold out the 10 spots in her group program before the two weeks were even up, we didn’t even have to use all the emails.

Keep A Breast: Breast cancer prevention nonprofit

Before: Keep A Breast is a breast cancer non-profit with a mission to empower young people around the world with breast health education and support. I started working with them in 2013, creating many education and fundraising campaigns along the way. Social media was a big part of their marketing strategy, so I focused on email marketing. When I started, their email list was old and underused with an open rate of 6-7% and a click rate of less than .05%.

After: Over the next year, I created an email strategy helping to grow the email newsletter open rate by an average of 12% and email list growth by 50%. Over the years of working with them as a contractor, this email growth was maintained and segmented lists were utilized to fundraise for breast cancer prevention and app downloads for prevention education.
