For nurturers, their core need is emotional safety, provided for both them and others.

Nurturers emphasize checking in and tending to emotions, seeing the nuance and necessity of fully holding space for everyone they care about. They are relationship-driven in the most authentic of ways. They enjoy the company of others and the role of the listener is very important to them.

Thus, they’re excellent at creating that space for others, but struggle to maintain boundaries and say no for their own sake. This can lead to over-giving and burnout. They're low risk-takers and slow decision-makers who usually need more time to decide if something is a safe decision or investment.

Even though emotion is what drives them, they can have a hard time articulating their own and will sometimes skirt around them. They can struggle with clarity and making a direct ask (selling included!). A super detailed and analytical marketing plan can be overwhelming for them, but their service is killer because they’re great at encouraging, deeply listening, and making sure people remember their value regardless of where they are at in life.

A few mellow marketing tips for Nurturers:

1. Feel through marketing changes, pay attention to your emotions, and be open to things changing or taking a bit more time than expected to prove effective

2. Realize that your personality in of itself is rare in the business world and sharing your values will support you in selling.

3. Incorporate relationship-driven marketing and emotional bonding into how you connect with leads and clients; consent-based testimonials are also a great way to do this.
